MINHS Estimate Terms & Conditions
1. Estimate Validity, Virtual Estimates & Adjustments
Estimates are valid for seven (7) days from the date issued and are subject to change due to material pricing, scope modifications, scheduling changes, or unforeseen site conditions.
Any estimate prepared from photos, videos, measurements, or information provided by the Customer without an on-site inspection is a virtual estimate only and is based solely on the information available at the time of quoting. If actual site conditions, measurements, materials, access, or scope differ from what was represented, Mend It Now Handyman Services (“Company”) may revise the estimate, scope of work, pricing, or all of the foregoing before additional work proceeds.
2. Scope of Work & Changes
The estimate covers only the work specifically described in the approved estimate. Any additional work, customer-requested changes, or unforeseen issues outside the original scope may require a revised estimate, change order, or additional charge before proceeding.
3. Materials & Related Project Costs
Unless otherwise stated in writing, materials and related project costs may be billed separately or as listed on the estimate. Customers may supply materials, or the Company may purchase or arrange materials on the Customer’s behalf.
Charges for materials supplied or arranged by the Company may include material cost, sourcing, procurement, delivery, pickup, disposal, rental charges, consumables, and other related project costs. A material pickup, delivery, or procurement fee may apply where applicable.
4. On-Site Assessment Fee
An on-site assessment or estimate fee of up to $45 may apply depending on the location, scope of work, and travel requirements. Any applicable assessment fee is due prior to or at the time of the scheduled visit unless otherwise waived by the Company. If approved by the Company, the assessment fee may be credited toward the final invoice.
5. Estimate Approval & Scheduling
Work will not be scheduled or performed until the estimate has been approved by the Customer. Scheduling is subject to technician availability, material availability, weather, and other unforeseen circumstances. Estimated start dates and completion timeframes are approximate and may be adjusted as needed.
6. Labor, Completion Time & Exclusions
Labor timeframes are estimates only and may vary based on field conditions, material availability, hidden conditions, weather, access issues, or other circumstances beyond the Company’s control.
Unless expressly stated in writing, the following are not included in the estimate: appliance repair, carpet work, roofing or work above the roofline, major electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs, wallpaper installation, permits, engineering, utility flagging, and debris removal not generated by the Company’s work.
7. Drain Cleaning & Clog Clearance Services
Drain cleaning and drain clog clearance services are performed on a best-effort basis. If the drain is flowing or otherwise cleared at the time the Company completes the service and leaves the property, the service shall be deemed complete. The Company does not guarantee against recurring clogs, slow drainage, partial blockages, or future stoppages.
If the Company performs drain-clearing work but is unable to fully clear the line due to deeper plumbing issues, deteriorated piping, branch line or sewer line conditions, or other underlying conditions beyond the point of service, the service call, labor, and time spent diagnosing or attempting to clear the drain shall still be due and payable.
8. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of the work or in accordance with the payment schedule listed on the approved estimate or invoice. Accepted payment methods and any applicable processing fees are listed separately on the invoice or payment form. Non-payment may result in late charges, collection efforts, legal action, or refusal of future service.
9. Cancellations & Rescheduling
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is requested for cancellations or rescheduling of scheduled work or on-site assessments. Late cancellations, missed appointments, or repeated rescheduling may result in an additional service charge or forfeiture of any applicable assessment fee.
10. Customer Responsibility / Existing Conditions
The Company is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden damage, concealed defects, structural movement, manufacturer defects, customer-supplied materials, or modifications or repairs performed by others before or after the Company’s work. The Customer is responsible for providing reasonable access to the work area and for making all final selections regarding style, color, finish, texture, layout, and materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.
11. Roof Repairs / Localized Leak Repairs
Any roof repair, roof patch, flashing repair, or localized leak repair is limited to the specific area addressed by the Company at the time of service unless otherwise stated in writing. The Company does not guarantee the condition, watertightness, or future performance of the entire roof system, surrounding roof areas, existing flashing, drains, seams, coatings, or underlying substrate. Additional leaks may occur due to age, prior repairs, hidden conditions, ponding, drainage issues, weather exposure, or roof conditions beyond the Company’s control.
12. Warranty Reference
Qualifying labor performed by the Company may be covered by a limited workmanship warranty. For full warranty terms, exclusions, limitations, and claim procedures, please refer to the current MINHS One-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty available on the Company’s website.
13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Any dispute arising out of or relating to the estimate, services, or payment shall first be addressed in good faith between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached, the parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing other remedies. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state in which the services are performed.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By approving the estimate, scheduling service, or authorizing work to proceed, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to these Estimate Terms & Conditions.
